Alloderm
Alloderm, a non-synthetic implant, is derived from human donors and decellularized to ensure that it is free of any infectious or immunogenic components. The FDA strictly regulates Alloderm, with a rigorous screening of donor medical history and meticulous testing process for all donor tissue.
Alloderm is the only graft that is capable of normal regeneration with the ability to blend with each individual's tissue. It doesn't provoke any inflammatory response, allergic reaction or immunological rejection. Soft and pliable, the transplant of Alloderm has a natural feel. Immediately following the transplant, the grafted material will slowly become a natural part of the patient’s body, taking a total of six to eight months to naturally integrate with the patient's own tissue. This procedure is as safe as an auto graft, the process of grafting tissue from another area of the body.
Alloderm is used to address contour issues including breast surgery, nasal surgery, lip enhancement and reconstructive procedures.
