Cosmetic surgery is an elective procedure performed to adjust and augment the shape of the body. The enhancement of a body’s natural tone and contour can improve self-esteem as well as appearance. Long Island Plastic Surgical Group has been performing cosmetic procedures for over fifty years, for over a half of a million people. The doctors have the knowledge, experience and expertise to perform the most advanced surgeries, bringing each individual patient closer to his or her goal. Long Island Plastic Surgical Group (LIPSG) doctors use their artistry to help patients improve certain physical features of their bodies. LIPSG helps to provide quantifiable results for their patients – with a new appearance comes an improved sense of confidence and a new outlook that can drastically effect a patient’s life.

Long Island Plastic Surgical Group recently opened an on-site, state-of-the-art operating facility. LIPSG has been fully accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF). Patients now have the option to undergo several types of cosmetic surgery in the new operating rooms, including breast augmentation, reduction or lift; face and neck lifts; eyelid surgery; rhinoplasty; abdominoplasty; and liposuction.

Women's Self-Image and Sexual Satisfaction Increase After Cosmetic Surgery
Aesthetic Surgery Journal today released new data from a study on the impact of aesthetic plastic surgery on body image and sexual satisfaction. Women who undergo common elective cosmetic surgery procedures not only feel better about their bodies, but also have higher degrees of satisfaction with their sex lives, including ability to orgasm. Women in the study who had undergone aesthetic procedures were more sexually satisfied, reported that their partners were more sexually satisfied, dressed to enhance their new figures, and were apt to try more and different sexual activities post-surgery.

Considering Cosmetic Injectable Treatments?
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) has developed new guidelines for consumers seeking cosmetic enhancements through injectable treatments as part of an initiative to counter the alarming rise in reports of unqualified persons performing medical procedures.
