A face lift is performed to improve facial skin tone and tighten the underlying muscle. The surgery will provide you with a more youthful version of yourself without changing the physical features of your appearance, allowing you to continue aging naturally.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does skin color change after the procedure?
Skin may appear pale, bruised or puffy following the surgery, which will subside within a few weeks.
What should I expect post-operatively?
Normal discomfort includes numbness of the skin and swelling. Most post-operative discomfort can be alleviated with pain medication.
What is the recovery period for this procedure?
The total recovery period may last up to three weeks. Avoiding strenuous activity is crucial during the first week and a return to work can be expected in approximately 10 to 14 days.
How long does a face lift last?
The effects of a face lift are very durable, however the lasting results are dependant on individual patient characteristics including bone structure and skin elasticity.
What are the alternatives to a face lift?
After considering the patient's desired results, options may include microdermabrasion, chemical peel or laser resurfacing.
Are there any visible scars left from a face lift?
Some scars will remain from your facelift, but they're usually hidden by your hair or natural creases of the face and ears. Scars will fade with time and should be scarcely visible.
MACS Lift (a natural facelift)
Men and women with signs of aging in the face such as jowls, deep marionette lines and sagging necks now have an alternative to a facelift: the MACS-lift. Developed in 2002, the MACS-lift, short for "Minimal Access Cranial Suspension," involves lifting muscle and tissue vertically and fixing them in a more youthful position with dissolvable sutures before gently redraping the skin over them. This is different than pulling the skin horizontally (toward the ears) and trimming it, as is done in a traditional facelift.
The MACS-lift not only provides a more natural post-surgical look than that of a facelift, it is also less invasive, takes less time to perform, can be performed under local anesthesia, and offers patients a shorter recovery period.
