LIPSG Sponsors Weight Loss Expo
On May 21st, Long Island Plastic Surgical Group sponsored the first annual Long Island Medical & Surgical Weight Loss Expo designed to offer solutions to people interested in losing weight, considering weight loss surgery or exploring post weight loss options. LIPSG’s Dr. Matthew Kilgo led an educational seminar about the advanced procedures performed by LIPSG surgeons for post weight loss surgery (post-bariatric surgery) that address the aesthetic effects of weight loss. Dr. Kilgo covered a variety of plastic surgery and body contouring techniques that are safe, effective treatments designed to eliminate excess fat and skin folds left over from significant weight loss. Dr. Kilgo’s presentation included the exciting post-bariatric before and after gallery of LIPSG patients who transformed their bodies with tummy tucks, arm, thigh, breast and body lifts and more for a tighter, fitter-looking physique. LIPSG Patient Care Coordinators and Nursing staff were also on hand to answer questions.
To complement LIPSG’s education on surgical options, LIPSG’s Aesthetic Center featured an event experience about body transforming non-surgical treatments available to patients such as innovative laser treatments to smooth cellulite, stretch marks and tighten skin, or effective options to reduce scars from post-weight loss surgery such as Fraxel, Silicone Sheeting and Scarguard.
At the close of the event, Dr. Kilgo and the LIPSG staff received an award presented by Joseph A. Quagliata, President & CEO of South Nassau Communities Hospital and Rajeev Vohra, MD, FACS, President of New York Bariatrics & Laparoscopy for LIPSG’s support and participation in the first annual Long Island Medical & Surgical Weight Loss Expo.
