Tummy Tuck
Abdominoplasty is a major cosmetic procedure used to reduce the appearance of a protruding or sagging abdomen that cannot be reduced by diet or exercise. This is accomplished by surgically removing excess fat or skin and tightening the muscles in the abdominal wall. Depending on the amount of loose skin and position of fat deposits, some patients may benefit from having partial abdominoplasty, an outpatient procedure.
A tummy tuck is also recommended for those diagnosed with diastases; a separation and weakening of abdominal muscles resulting from pregnancy. Liposuction can also be performed in conjunction with a tummy tuck to help remove unwanted fat.
