A woman in her 30s who tested positive for the BRCA gene mutation desired bilateral prophylactic mastectomies in order to reduce her risk of developing breast cancer in the future. She had bilateral nipple sparing mastectomies followed by immediate tissue expander breast reconstruction. She had a second stage expander removal with insertion of smooth round silicone implants. The postoperative photos taken approximately 1.5 years after her 2nd stage surgery.
