Tiffany Cheung, PA-C

Long Island Plastic Surgical Group’s Tiffany Cheung began her medical studies with a BS in Health Science from Long Island University. After graduating summa cum laude, she then went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Pace University Lenox Hill Hospital.

Before joining the LIPSG team in 2018, Tiffany gained experience in a range of pharmacy, hospital, and medical center settings including Tu Quynh Pharmacy and Chatham Medical P.C. Her clinical training spans a variety of fields including plastic surgery, emergency medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, women’s health, psychiatry, gastroenterology, and family practice.

In addition to being an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, Tiffany has certifications from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Phlebotomy.

Tiffany is proficient in three dialects of Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin, and conversational Fuzhounese), and works with LIPSG surgeon, Dr. Michael Dobryansky

 

Katie Guarino, PA-C

Katie Guarino, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant and has been a part of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group since 2011. She currently works alongside board-certified plastic surgeon and LIPSG practice president Dr. Tommaso Addona.

Prior to joining LIPSG, Katie began her career in plastic surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in 2009. During that time she developed a passion for the breast cancer community that continues to impact her work today. At LIPSG, Katie provides compassionate clinical support to those embarking on a reconstructive journey. From initial consult to recovery, she works alongside both LIPSG and oncology staff to help patients create individualized surgery plans that best suit their needs. She is also proud to have co-authored multiple articles on Oncoplastic Breast Conserving Surgery.

In addition to her work as a cancer and reconstructive PA, Katie is also experienced in orthopedics, a field she trained in while working at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She is currently a member of the Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants, the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Prior to completing her Physician Assistant Studies at St. John’s University in 2009, Katie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from Loyola University in Maryland. At Loyola, she competed on the Division I Women’s lacrosse team as a scholarship athlete.

 

Victoria Lugo, PA-C

Long Island Plastic Surgical Group’s Victoria Lugo began her medical studies with a BS in Health Sciences Pre-Clinical, while also minoring in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida. She then went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from Nova Southeastern University. During her time at PA school, Victoria sat on the Student Government Association Board as Student American Association of Physician Assistants(AAPA) Representative and represented her class at the National AAPA conferences. She later graduated as a member of Pi Alpha National Honor Society and became NCCPA board certified.

Victoria obtained clinical experience in a variety of fields including Plastic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Behavioral Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatric Medicine, Dermatology, Family Medicine and General Surgery.

She is an active member of the American Association of Physician Assistants, and Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants. Victoria has certifications from the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers(BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS) from the American Heart Association.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, taking dance classes, and spending time with her family and friends. Victoria works with LIPSG surgeon, Dr. Jerry Chang.

 

Bobby Mathews, MPAS, PA – C

Bobby Mathews, MPAS, PA-C has been a Physician Assistant at Long Island Plastic Surgical Group since 2008. Bobby received his B.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from SUNY Stony Brook in 2002, and then went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2009. Bobby has also spent much of his time doing volunteer work for the Garden City Park Fire Department. Bobby is an active member of the Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants, the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In addition, he was a sub-investigator with two breast reconstruction clinical trials.

Bobby works with LIPSG surgeon, Dr. Matthew Kilgo, specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery.

Jessica Pereira, PA-C

Jessica Pereira

Jessica Pereira, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant and has been a part of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group since 2018.

Currently, Jessica works alongside board-certified plastic surgeon and LIPSG practice president Dr. Tommaso Addona. As a part of Dr. Addona’s team, Jessica is responsible for helping to provide patients with compassionate and comprehensive pre and postoperative care. This includes everything from consultations and follow up visits to interpreting diagnostic laboratory results and medical imaging. In addition, Jessica assists in a variety of reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries. She specializes in breast reconstruction.

Prior to joining LIPSG Jessica trained within a number of medical facilities and fields including family medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, long term care, orthopedics, and obstetrics and gynecology. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Microbiology from Quinnipiac University in 2016 before completing her Physician Assistant Studies at Touro College in Bayshore, NY in 2018.

Rachel Rubin, MSHS, PA-C

Rachel Rubin headshotRachel Rubin, MSHS, PA-C joined Long Island Plastic Surgical Group in 2016 after receiving her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy College. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Binghamton University in 2013.

Rachel obtained clinical experience in a variety of fields including plastic surgery, general surgery, and emergency medicine.

Rachel is an active member of the Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Rachel has had the opportunity to volunteer in Nicaragua, where she provided medical care and education to communities with limited access to care.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with her family and friends.

Rachel works with LIPSG surgeon, Dr. Richard Reish.

Kristie Summus, PA-C

Kristie Summus began her medical studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she worked as an Athletic Trainer Assistant and served as an EMT at UMass Emergency Medical Services. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Kinesiology, and was on the Dean’s List for 4 years. During that time, she was a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta, Academic Honor Society. She then continued to study health science and received her BS degree followed by a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College.

Prior to joining LIPSG in 2019, Kristie gained experience working as a Physician Assistant at Good Samaritan Hospital in Emergency Medicine. Additionally, she has clinical experience in many fields including family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, long term care, plastic surgery, internal and emergency medicine.

She is associated with the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and has certifications from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers(BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support(ACLS), Pediatric Advanced life Support, and Emergency Medical Technician-Basic in Massachusetts and New York.
