Timothy Miller, PA-C
Timothy Miller, PA-C has worked as Dr. Roger Simpson’s Physician Assistant since 2007. Working with Dr. Simpson has provided him with experience in treating cosmetic, hand, burn, and facial paralysis patients. Mr. Miller graduated from the Stony Brook University – School of Health Technology and Managements’ Physician Assistant Program in 2004. He has worked in a wide variety of fields of medicine including; Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Psychiatry.
Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Mr. Miller obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Adelphi University, after which he worked for several years as a Psychiatric Case Manager for the Nassau County Department of Mental Health.
Joining the volunteer fire service in 1991 and serving as a Firefighter/EMT, he was offered an opportunity to attend North Shore University Hospitals Paramedic Program. He worked as an EMT/Paramedic in the New York City Emergency Medical Services for 10 years before returning to school to obtain his training as a Physician Assistant. His interests include spending time with his wife and 2 daughters. Tim recently received his Black Belt in Judo and is an instructor for the Mineola PAL. He is also a volunteer firefighter in the Williston Park Fire Department.
Bobby Mathews, MPAS, PA – C
Bobby Mathews, MPAS, PA-C has been a Physician Assistant at Long Island Plastic Surgical Group since 2008. In 2002, Bobby received his B.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from SUNY Stony Brook, and then went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2009. As a Physician Assistant, Mr. Mathews has much experience working in Emergency Medicine at both Winthrop University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Bobby has also spent much of his time doing volunteer work for the Garden City Park Fire Department, the Stroke Screening Clinic at Stony Brook University Hospital, and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Bobby is an active member of the Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants, the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In addition, he is currently a sub-investigator with two breast reconstruction clinical trials.

Rachel Rubin, MSHS, PA-C
Rachel Rubin, MSHS, PA-C joined Long Island Plastic Surgical Group in 2016 after receiving her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy College. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Binghamton University in 2013.
Rachel obtained clinical experience in a variety of fields including plastic surgery, general surgery, and emergency medicine.
Rachel is an active member of the Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Rachel has had the opportunity to volunteer in Nicaragua, where she provided medical care and education to communities with limited access to care.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with her family and friends.
Rachel works with LIPSG surgeon, Dr. Richard Reish.
Tiffany Cheung, PA-C
Long Island Plastic Surgical Group’s Tiffany Cheung began her medical studies with a B.S. in Health Science from Long Island University. After graduating summa cum laude, she then went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Pace University Lenox Hill Hospital.
Before joining the LIPSG team in 2018, Tiffany gained experience in a range of pharmacy, hospital, and medical center settings including Tu Quynh Pharmacy and Chatham Medical P.C. Her clinical training spans a variety of fields including plastic surgery, emergency medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, women’s health, psychiatry, gastroenterology, and family practice.
In addition to being an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, Tiffany has certifications from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Phlebotomy.
Tiffany is proficient in three dialects of Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin, and conversational Fuzhounese), and works with LIPSG surgeon, Dr. Michael Dobryansky
Kristie Summus, PA-C
Kristie Summus began her medical studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she worked as an Athletic Trainer Assistant and served as an EMT at UMass Emergency Medical Services. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Kinesiology, and was on the Dean’s List for 4 years. During that time, she was a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta, Academic Honor Society. She then continued to study health science and received her BS degree followed by a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College.
Prior to joining LIPSG in 2019, Kristie gained experience working as a Physician Assistant at Good Samaritan Hospital in Emergency Medicine. Additionally, she has clinical experience in many fields including family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, long term care, plastic surgery, internal and emergency medicine.
She is associated with the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and has certifications from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers(BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support(ACLS), Pediatric Advanced life Support, and Emergency Medical Technician-Basic in Massachusetts and New York.
