RHA Fillers

RHA Fillers

Page Updated:

The aesthetic experts at New York Plastic Surgical Group, a Division of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, are dedicated to bringing the most advanced cosmetic procedures to NYC and Long Island. The RHA® Collection is the first group of injectable dermal fillers that are FDA-approved to treat dynamic wrinkles—the lines and creases that develop as a result of facial movements.

What Are RHA Fillers?

RHA fillers are formulated with resilient hyaluronic acid and designed to reduce the appearance of deep lines and dynamic facial wrinkles such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and creases around the mouth and cheeks.

How Do RHA Fillers Work?

Hyaluronic acid is a common ingredient in injectables, but what sets RHA fillers apart from other HA filler treatments is the gentle manufacturing process used to create them. Resilient hyaluronic acid formulations are made to more closely mimic the natural hyaluronic acid that our bodies create. These unique fillers allow for natural-looking results that look beautiful when your face is at rest and when you are making dynamic facial expressions.

RHA® 3

RHA 3 is designed for injection in the mid-to-deep dermal layers of skin and is used to treat deeper dynamic wrinkles such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and perioral wrinkles.

RHA® 4

RHA 4 is designed for injection in the deep dermal layers of skin and is used to treat severe dynamic wrinkles and also to address facial volume loss in the midface.

RHA Redensity™

RHA Redensity may be injected in the superficial dermis or upper dermis and is specifically for natural-looking correction of perioral wrinkles such as smoker’s lines, lipstick lines, and vertical lip lines.

Frequently Asked Questions About RHA Fillers

Are RHA fillers right for me?

Ideal candidates for RHA fillers are over 22 years old and seeking a non-surgical solution to treat visible signs of facial aging. You should not have dermal filler treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you have a bleeding disorder.2

Do I need to do anything to prepare for my RHA filler appointment?

Minimal preparation is needed prior to a dermal filler treatment. You may be advised to avoid alcohol and blood thinning medication in the week before your treatment in order to minimize the chance of bruising.

What is recovery like after RHA fillers?

There is no downtime needed after RHA filler and patients typically resume regular activities after treatment. It is normal to experience temporary side effects such as mild redness or swelling at the injection site.
