Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
Sag and droop in the breasts caused by weight loss, pregnancy, aging, and the natural effects of gravity can be reversed and the bustline restored to a “perky,” beautiful contour with a breast lift (mastopexy) from our plastic surgeons at the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group. Many of our doctors at LIPSG have specialty training in breast surgery procedures and have attended some of the most respected medical institutions in the world. Our team is skilled and experienced with breast lift procedures that can give your breasts a natural-looking appearance without looking as though you have had plastic surgery. We are committed to restoring your breasts to a more youthful shape and eliminating the appearance of sagginess and loss of volume.
Contact our plastic surgeons in to schedule a consultation for breast lift surgery and you can discuss your goals for a firmer, more contoured bustline.

A breast lift improves a drooping appearance in the breasts by removing extra skin and tightening the skin of the breast area, thereby “lifting” the breasts to a firmer position. A breast lift can also reposition and improve the appearance of the areola (the dark-pigmented skin surrounding the nipple). Although a breast lift can provide a more youthful-looking bustline, it does not add volume or fullness to the breasts. However, this can be achieved by a breast lift in combination with breast augmentation.
Although breast lift surgery can provide a number of aesthetic benefits and address a range of concerns, it may not be the best option for everyone. Since pregnancy and breastfeeding can stretch the skin of the breasts, our LIPSG plastic surgeon can discuss alternatives to breast lift surgery for women who are planning to have children.
To schedule a consultation for breast lift (mastopexy) surgery, please contact the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group. At your initial consultation, one of our plastic surgeons will discuss all aspects of the procedure with you, and address any questions or concerns you may have. You will also have the opportunity to view a computer-generated image of your likely results with the Vectra 3-D imaging system. This technology is capable of combining patient data with photos of the breast area to form an image of the possible outcome. The Vectra system can give you a general idea of how you may look after surgery.
Breast Lift Procedure
Our plastic surgeons at the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group custom-tailor breast lift procedures to your own unique needs. Surgery is typically performed with an incision around the areola following down to the crease of the breast. Excess skin is removed, and the remaining skin is tightened. The breasts and nipples are lifted to a higher position, and the incisions closed. Breast lift procedures are typically performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. The entire procedure usually takes less than two hours to complete.
Breast lift surgery can be performed at one of our new, accredited operating rooms located at LIPSG’s Garden City facility. These state-of-the-art, fully equipped rooms are certified by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF), indicating the highest standard of care.
Breast Lift Recovery
Some degree of bruising and swelling can be expected after a breast lift procedure. Any residual scarring from the incisions should be very mild and should fade with time. Most patients are able to return to normal daily routines after about a week; however, patients are advised to avoid strenuous activities for several weeks after surgery.
NaturaBra™ Breast Lift
NaturaBra™ Breast Lift is a unique breast lift technique (mastopexy) that uses a woman’s own breast skin to create a youthful new contour with results designed to last longer than traditional breast lift surgery. NaturaBra™ was introduced at Long Island Plastic Surgical Group by Dr. Kaveh Alizadeh, and has garnered significant media attention appearing on CBS News and Good Morning America in addition to coverage at national medical conferences and healthcare publications.
Dr. Alizadeh’s NaturaBra™ Breast Lift technique uses the excess skin traditionally discarded in mastopexy surgery to provide more support to the underside of the breasts. This excess tissue is placed beneath the breasts and attached to the chest wall, giving the breasts more structural support, which can allow them to stay in a higher position for a longer period of time.
Recovery time is typically about the same as a breast lift surgery without the NaturaBra™ Breast Lift .
