Each year, board-certified plastic surgeon and LIPSG partner Dr. Barry K. Douglas, produces original artwork for the cover of the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons (NESPS) regional conference journal. Each illustration is designed to highlight the annual conference’s host city. This year, the 39th Annual Meeting will be held from September 30th through October 2nd in Newport, Rhode Island.
This year’s scene was created by Dr. Douglas using acrylic paint. He says, “A blend of multiple colors is required for each area to ensure complete control of color saturation, hue and depth. A successful painting transcends a photograph as the application of paint brings life into the scene.”
