Thomas A. Davenport, MD,FACS

Dr. Thomas Davenport received his Bachelor of Science degree from Iona College and his MD degree from Yale University. He completed both his residency in General Surgery and fellowship in Plastic Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University Program. Dr. Davenport pursued specialty training in Cancer Reconstruction and Cosmetic Surgery as a fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital in New York City. He was also awarded the prestigious Webster fellowship in Pediatric Plastic Surgery. As the Webster fellow, Dr. Davenport traveled to numerous developing countries such as Peru, the Philippines, Ecuador, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Brazil performing reconstructive surgery and lecturing on plastic surgery. Dr. Davenport was also awarded an additional fellowship at Harvard University to work at the Shriner Burn Hospital for Children in the reconstruction of burn and accident victims. He continues his philanthropic work as a board member and chairman of the Surgery Committee for Interplast. Dr. Davenport also continues to travel abroad and work with surgeons and patients in developing countries. He is on the board of the LIPSG Foundation which works for the betterment of plastic surgery reconstruction both here and abroad.
Dr. Davenport’s practice is focused on treating complex problems in plastic surgery. His special interests include burn reconstruction, cancer reconstruction, breast reconstruction, complex wound care and specialized cosmetic surgery. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters and lectured nationally and internationally on various aspects of plastic surgery.
