Garden City, NY (December 27, 2013) – On Monday, December 23, 2013 Dr. Roger L. Simpson, President of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, and other organization representatives presented a collection of toiletries to the Mary Brennan INN. As one of nineteen soup kitchens operating under the INN’s leadership throughout Long Island, the Hempstead based location services more than 7,500 individuals weekly. In addition to providing free daily lunches the Mary Brennan INN also offers space and necessary products for visitors to shower.

With this service in mind, Long Island Plastic Surgical Group organized a six week internal drive to collect toiletries including soap, shampoo and other hygiene related products. At the conclusion of the six weeks, the group raffled off gifts at its annual holiday party to supplement the donations with a check that amounted to nearly $1.000.00.

Dr. Simpson, who matched the practice’s generous donation with a personal contribution, described his tour of the soup kitchen as “incredible”.
