Vincent R. DiGregorio, MD, FACS, of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group has been selected as a panel participant at the annual meeting of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Long Island, NY – Dr. Vincent R. DiGregorio, a board-certified plastic surgeon, was chosen to be part of a rhinoplasty panel at The Aesthetic Meeting 2014, a professional conference held annually by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). He will be on the panel with five other doctors who were carefully selected from throughout the U.S. Dr. DiGregorio, who is the senior surgeon at Long Island Plastic Surgical Group (LIPSG), is honored to return to the conference as a speaker for another year, sharing his plastic surgery experience with fellow surgeons.
The purpose of the annual ASAPS meeting is to educate plastic surgeons who specialize in cosmetic surgery on the latest surgical techniques, covering both aesthetics and functionality. As noted in the blog post, “Vincent R. DiGregorio, MD, FACS, Selected as Participant on ASAPS Panel,” Dr. DiGregorio will join the panel titled, “Nasal Airway Obstruction–What YOU Need to Know,” where he will discuss causes of nasal obstructions and techniques for correcting the problem. The Long Island plastic surgeon addresses the topic, saying, “The management of nasal airway obstruction has been a passion of mine since I first started.” He looks forward to sharing his expertise with fellow surgeons to help them better understand the problem, so they can provide enhanced results for their patients.
Dr. DiGregorio notes that nasal obstructions are typically caused by trauma and often need reconstruction of the airway and nasal structure. He highlights the importance of patients finding a plastic surgeon who is qualified to address both function and aesthetics of a reconstructive rhinoplasty procedure. By doing so, Dr. DiGregorio believes they can receive a higher level of care and quality, with a lower risk of needing a revision rhinoplasty in the future.
ASAPS is a leading organization for cosmetic plastic surgeons, with approximately 2,600 members around the world. The society is dedicated to the advancement of aesthetic plastic surgery through science, providing doctors with the latest industry information. The Aesthetic Meeting 2014 is taking place in San Francisco, CA from April 24th through the 29th.
