Throughout our history as a practice, we at Long Island Plastic Surgical Group have committed ourselves to helping those in medically underserved communities. The collective expertise of our surgeons has allowed us to provide life-changing reconstructive surgical care to patients who would have otherwise lacked access to treatment.
LIPSG’s Dr. Louis Riina passed away on April 6, 2019, just days before the practice hosted a benefit concert with John Popper of Blues Traveler. Dr. Riina was excited about this show and was looking forward to taking part.
As a nationally and internationally known burn and wound care specialist, Dr. Riina impacted the lives of thousands of patients with his work in the Nassau County Burn Center and through his volunteer missions overseas. The LIPSG family would like to honor Dr. Riina’s memory through the Dr. Louis Riina Annual Concert Series benefiting ReSurge International.
Stay tuned for information on the Spring 2020 show.
LIPSG was proud to be the entertainment sponsor for the ReSurge 50th Anniversary Celebration Gala that took place in October at the Four Seasons in San Francisco. LIPSG partners and ReSurge board members, Dr. Roger Simpson, Dr. Thomas Davenport, and Dr. Tommaso Addona, were all present to celebrate this landmark anniversary.
The Dr. Vincent DiGregorio Fellowship Fund at ReSurge International was established to honor Dr. DiGregorio and sustain his commitment to providing medical care and surgical training to populations in need. In addition to the annual concert for ReSurge, Dr. Laurence Glickman hosts an annual golf outing in memory of Dr. DiGregorio each fall.
LIPSG is planning to sponsor a mission to Vietnam in March of 2020. This mission supports surgical care to restore function for patients who have been injured or have been born with conditions that limit their mobility, basic capacity, or ability to work.
Details coming soon.
