Breast Reconstruction

Patient 111

Dr. Kilgo

A woman in her 50s who tested positive for the BRCA gene mutation desired bilateral prophylactic mastectomies in order to reduce her risk of developing breast cancer in the future. She had bilateral nipple sparing mastectomies followed by immediate tissue expander breast reconstruction. She had a second stage expander removal with smooth round silicone implant placement and fat grafting to the reconstructed breasts. Postoperative photos were taken approximately 2 years after her most recent procedure.
