LIPSG is partnering with the Adelphi Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program, the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition, and the Manhasset Women’s Coalition to help 3 local families in need this holiday season. We kindly ask that purchases are made by Friday, December 16th to ensure gifts are delivered in time for the holidays.

Manhasset Family: Woman living with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Prior to being diagnosed, she worked as a teacher. Today, she’s unable to work and doing her best to manage her treatments. She’s a wife, and mother to a 12-year-old son. Her husband is a fireman and hasn’t been able to do any overtime because he wants to be home to take care of her.

Babylon Family: A young woman diagnosed with advanced Triple Negative Breast Cancer being treated aggressively. She’s a wife and mother of three boys. Her oldest is 11 and her twins are 7. Prior to being diagnosed, she worked 2 part-time jobs around her children’s school schedules and her husband’s work schedule to make ends meet. She is unable to work during her treatments, she was just released from the hospital after having very low blood counts and barely has the energy to get up each day.

Adelphi Family: A single mom, diagnosed with locally advanced breast cancer in April 2022. She recently completed 20 rounds of systemic chemotherapy and is pending surgery. She works cleaning homes throughout Long Island and the NYC area to provide for her two children. Her daughter is 15 years old and enjoys painting, Tik-Tok, and makeup. Her son is 17 years old. He was diagnosed with autism disorder and attends a specialized program to help meet his needs. He is a computer whiz who loves video games and putting things together. She is a fearless woman determined to beat cancer to be there for her children. She continues to work throughout her treatment to ensure she does not fall behind on rent or bills. She truly is a super mom.
