A 7.8 earthquake rocked Ecuador on the evening of April 16th. Dr. Jorge Palacios of the ReSurge/Long Island Plastic Surgical Outreach Program and his colleagues in Ecuador are all miraculously okay. Dr. Palacios and his team were in Portoviejo doing patient evaluations for their next surgical trip there. They had just finished at the hospital and had not had time to get back at their hotel, which is half destroyed. They could not even go in the get their luggage. The team is currently on their to Guayaquil.
