One of the hallmarks of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group is our decades-long commitment to furthering the science and art of plastic surgery through our celebrated residency program. Since 1954, our team of expert physicians has trained more than 130 residents and 34 burn fellows. In 1989 LIPSG partner Dr. Roger L. Simpson took the helm as residency program director, a position he continues to hold today.

In celebration of our residents and their ever-evolving success, we would like to recognize the nomination of our former burn fellow, Dr. Caesar Ricci, to the role of Director of the Burn Unit and Surgical ICU and Co-Director of Trauma at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Texas.

Dr. Ricci completed his training with LIPSG in 2013 under the direction of Dr. Roger L. Simpson and the late Dr. Louis Riina. It is with great pride that we celebrate this accomplishment and look forward to seeing him thrive in his new position.
