The Nd: YAG laser is a high-tech laser treatment system that can provide effective skin rejuvenation for a number of issues. Increasingly used for tattoo removal, the Nd:YAG laser also works for skin rejuvenation of sun and age spots. Nd:YAG stands for Neodymium: Yttrium Aluminum Garnet. The Nd:YAG laser is known for its rapid treatment process and is effective for a variety of skin types, including patients with tanned skin.

Some discomfort following treatment with the Nd:YAG laser can be expected; however, this can be alleviated with medication.

An alternative to the Nd: YAG laser for skin rejuvenation is the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) procedure performed at our Aesthetic Skin Center. IPL treatment can correct a variety of imperfections as a result of prolonged skin exposure to damaging elements like the sun or other environmental pollutants.

Tattoo Removal with Medlite Laser

With laser technology, there is no such thing as a permanent tattoo. The Medlite® laser is considered to be one of the premier lasers for tattoo removal, working to penetrate the skin and destroy tattoo ink using pulses of laser energy to break the ink down into tiny particles. These ink particles are then gradually filtered out by the body. The procedure is customized for the individual, and has proven extremely effective on a variety of skin tones and ink colors. Multiple treatment sessions are necessary to completely eradicate the appearance of the tattoo.
